북송 정요(定黨)에서 제작된 것으로 큰 구연부와 굽을 갖추었으며, 꽃을 엎어놓은 듯한 모양의 뚜껑이 있는 향로이다.
전체적으로 별도로 형태를 만들어 붙이는 첩화(貼花) 기법을 활용하여 제작되었는데, 뚜껑의 표면에는 연꽃잎이 둥글게 음각되어 있으며, 풍성한 몸통의 어깨에는 끝이 약간 구부러진 꽃잎이 여러장 위아래를 교차하며 첩화(貼花)되어 있다. 몸통 아래의 잘록한 허리에는 발톱이 세 개인 용이 입을 크게 벌리고 날아가는 모습으로 첩화되어 있다. 세 개의 발톱을 지닌 삼조룡(三爪龍)은 황세손을 상징하기 때문에 별도의 관지는 없지만 황실에서 사용했던 것으로 추정된다.
该香炉制造于北宋定窑，大口沿部和底部，其上有像是把花倒放形状的盖。
整体上采用单独制作形态和贴花技法。盖子表面阴刻圆形荷叶，丰肩末端略微弯曲的花瓣上下交叉叠加贴花。腹部下细腰贴花了三爪龙张牙舞爪，拥有三个爪子的三爪龙象征皇室子孙，虽然没有特别的款识，但是可以推测是皇室使用的。
The incense burner has a wide mouth covered with an upside-down flower-form cover.
The surface is decorated overall with an applique technique. The cover is engraved in a smooth curve with lotus leaves, and the voluminous body is applied with petals slightly curved at the tips crossing up and down on the shoulder. The waisted pedestal is adorned with an applique three-clawed dragon writhing with its mouth open. As the three-clawed dragon symbolizes the descendants of the imperial family, even without an inscription, it can be assumed that the present work was used in the imperial court.
