전체적으로 남색 유약이 시유되어 있으며, 복부에는 연꽃 무늬가 음각으로 새겨진 주자입니다. 넓은 구연부와 수축된 목, 부푼 복부, 사다리꼴 모양의 높은 굽이 어우러져 안정감 있는 형태를 이루고 있습니다.
뚜껑은 봉황 머리 모양으로 제작되어 봉황의 높은 벼슬과 위를 향한 부리가 생동감 있게 표현되어 있습니다.
봉황은 고대 중국 전설 속 상상의 새로, 태평성대와 왕실을 상징하는 상서로운 동물로 여겨졌습니다. 새들의 군주로 묘사되며, 많은 새들이 봉황을 따라 날고, 살아있는 벌레를 먹거나 해를 입히지 않으며, 살아있는 풀 위에 앉지 않는 것으로 전해집니다. 이러한 특징 때문에 봉황은 존귀한 성품을 가진 신비스러운 존재로 인식되며, 길조와 성군의 상징으로 왕실과 관련된 건축물이나 물품에 장식 무늬로 널리 사용되었습니다.
주자의 손잡이는 이룡(螭龙)이 구연부를 물고 있는 독특한 형태이며 구연부 아래에는 구슬 장식이 첩화 기법으로 둘러져 있습니다.

执壶通体施蓝釉，腹部阴刻莲纹。宽口沿、束颈、鼓腹以及梯形高足，使整体器型更显端庄稳重。壶盖为凤首形状，其冠羽高耸，喙向上翘。
凤凰是古代中国传说中的神鸟，象征太平盛世与皇家，寓意吉祥。凤凰被认为是一种高贵的存在，许多鸟类追随其后飞翔。据说它不食活虫、不伤生灵、不栖息于活草之上，体现了纯净与高洁。凤凰因其尊贵的特性而被视为吉兆，同时象征贤明的君主，因此常被用作皇家建筑与器物的装饰纹样中。
执壶把手为螭龙咬住器口的造型。口沿下有一周联珠环绕。

This ewer, fully coated with a deep blue glaze, features a delicately incised lotus motif on its bulbous body. The form exhibits a harmonious balance with its wide flaring mouth, slender neck, rounded belly, and high trapezoidal foot, creating a sense of stability and elegance. The lid is shaped like a phoenix's head, vividly capturing the mythical bird’s prominent crest and upward-curving beak, which exudes dynamism and vitality.
The phoenix, a legendary bird from ancient Chinese mythology, symbolizes auspiciousness, prosperity, and the royal court. Revered as the king of birds, it is said to be followed by flocks of other birds, to consume neither living creatures nor harm them, and to perch only on plants that are alive. These attributes elevate the phoenix to a noble and mystical entity, often representing good fortune and virtuous rule. As such, its imagery frequently adorns royal architecture and artifacts.
The ewer's handle is intricately designed in the form of a chilong (hornless dragon) biting onto the mouth rim, adding an air of refinement. Below the mouth rim, a series of bead ornaments encircle the vessel, crafted using the applique technique to enhance its ornamental appeal.
