푸른 천청색 바탕 위에 아름다운 자주색 반점(斑点)이 있는 완입니다. 구연부에 금이 둘러지고 완 내부에는 꽃 모양의 금이 첩화(貼花)되있어 화려함이 더욱 큽니다. 반점의 크기가 큰 편이고 반점 내에서도 불규칙하게 보라색, 자주색 등이 섞여 있어 균요만의 요변유 특징이 느껴집니다. 반점은 모든 균요 작품마다 그 형태가 달라 더욱 귀중하게 여겨집니다.
균요는 송대 5대 명요(名窯) 중 하나로 독창적인 요변유(窑变釉) 기술은 변화무쌍하고 다채로워 후세 도자기 산업에 큰 영향을 미쳤습니다. 철과 구리가 포함된 유약으로 파란색 천청유(天靑釉) 바탕 위에 붉은색 혹은 자주색 등의 반점 등을 표현합니다.
표면에는 수많은 개편(开片)과 기포(氣泡)가 보이는데 이를 통해 이 작품이 만들어지는 과정이 느껴지며 시각적인 아름다움 또한 더해집니다.
