보물급 도자기-희귀한 먹-호박....중국 문화유산 '경매 잔치'

다보성 , 9월 5일까지 온라인 경매 ...35점 출품

꽃잎 모양 주둥이에 호롱박을 닮은 몸체가 고풍스런 아우라를 뿜어낸다. 어깨에 꽃잎이 첩화된게 이채롭다. 도자기 입과 목 부분에 갈색, 나머지 부분은 흰색 유약을 칠했다. 안으로 들어간 허리 아래 복부에는 연잎 무늬와 연꽃이 얼굴을 내민다. 굽바닥에 북송 시기 대표 관지인 ‘역정(易定)’이 새겨져 있다. 역정은 궁에서 문무관들에게 하사한 장식용 도자기를 뜻한다. 중국 북송시대 제작된 ‘역정각화연문화구병(易定刻花莲纹花口瓶)'이다.

중국 문화유산 ‘역정각화연문화구병’를 비롯해 먹(墨), 호박(琥珀), 비연호(鼻煙壺) 등 희귀한 중국 문화유산 35점이 한꺼번에 경매에 부쳐진다. ‘중국 고미술의 보물 창고‘ 다보성갤러리가 5일까지 진행하는 ‘제8회 중국 문화유산 온라인 경매’를 통해서다. 미술품 경매 시장의 문턱을 낮추기 위해 출품작들은 서울 종로구 수운회관 다보성갤러리 4층에서 무료로 관람이 가능하도록 했다. 고미술의 생활화와 애호가들의 저변 확대를 위해 작품값을 비교적 싸게 매긴 것이 특징이다.

기업은 물론 지방자치단체, 공공기관, 골프장, 직장인 등이 역사적 가치를 인정받는 중국고 미술품을 구입할 수 있는 기회다.

김종춘 다보성 회장은 “현재 중국의 박물관에서도 찾아보기 힘든 희소성이 뛰어난 작품으로 구성돼 있다”면서 “제작기법 및 용도 등을 서로 비교 연구할 수 있는 재미가 쏠솔하다”고 말했다.

가장 눈길을 끄는 작품은 역시 한나라 때 만들어진 37.3cm크기의 ‘채회도마(陶彩绘马)’. 네모난 흙 판 위에 네 다리로 서 있는 말 모형의 이색적인 도기(陶器)다. 약간 숙인 얼굴에 살짝 벌어진 입, 동그란 두 눈, 위로 솟은 귀가 색다르게 보인다. 약간 치켜올린 짧은 꼬리와 잘 발달한 근육이 세세하게 묘사되어 역동성과 아름다움을 동시에 잡아냈다. 또 등 위에 올려진 안장에는 붉은 채색이 가미되어 색채미를 발산한다.

원나라 ‘청백자철반봉수편주자’(青白釉铁斑凤首扁壶)도 경매에 나온다. 봉황 머리 모양 출수구와 둥글게 말려진 봉황 꼬리 모양 손잡이가 눈에 띤다. 연한 푸른빛이 도는 백유에, 철 가루를 부분적으로 발라 검붉은 반점을 표현했다. 평평하고 널찍한 복부는 둥근 달을 닮았다. 출수구를 봉황 머리로 재작한 주자는 페르시아 도자 문화의 영향을 받아 당나라 때 처음 만들어졌다. 따라서 동양과 서양의 문화적 요소가 결합된 도자기라는 점에서 사료적 가치가 높다는 게 김종춘 다보성 회장의 설명이다.

명나라 시대 제작된 ‘청화삼무장문개관(青花三武将纹盖罐)’도 새 주인을 찾는다. 말을 타고 있는 세 장수가 매화, 버드나무 아래 괴석과 모란문 등 사이에서 서로 돌격하는 장면을 도자기 몸체에 역동적으로 잡아냈다. 귀때그릇 모양 구연부 속에는 작은 뚜껑이 있다. 굽바닥에는 '영락년제(永樂年製)' 관지가 새겨져 있어 명나라 성조(成祖) 영락제(1403~1424) 때 제작된 것으로 짐작된다.

원나라 시대 보물급 도자기 ‘청화 백룡문 쌍이와호 (青花白龙纹双耳卧壶)’도 온라인 입찰대에 오른다. 와호는 서아시아 금속시대의 영향을 받아 만들어진 도자기로 사료적 가치가 높은 편이다. 구연부가 작고 목이 짧으며 복부 한 면이 볼록 튀어나와 있는 와호(卧壶)형태 복부 반대편이 바닥이며 중심은 오목하게 들어가 있으며 어깨 양쪽에 서수 얼굴 귀가 있다. 볼록한 복부 가운데는 청화로 연꽃이 그려져 있고, 양옆으로 백룡 두 마리가 그려진게 드라마틱하다. 측면에 상서로운 동물인 서수문(瑞兽紋)과 상서로운 과일인 서과문(瑞果紋)을 청색필치로 담아냈다.

원나라 ‘자주요 갈유가채학문병(磁州窑褐釉加彩鹤纹瓶)’은 100만원부터 경매를 시작하고, 원나라 ‘청백자철반봉수편주자’, 문진각 풍경이 새겨진 먹, 돼지 두 마리가 얼굴을 맞댄 채 몸은 하나가 된 형태로 조각된 호박 등도 비교적 합리적인 가격에 나와 있다.

한국과 중국 문화유산을 수집해 국공립박물관이나 사립박물관에 보급해 온 다보성갤러리는 올해 말 20~30점의 진귀한 유물들을 엄선해 오프라인 경매를 진행할 예정이다.

The vase with a petal-shaped spout and a body resembling a gourd emits a classical aura. The layered petals on the shoulder add a unique charm. The spout and neck of the porcelain are glazed in brown, while the rest is coated in white. Lotus patterns and flowers emerge from the abdomen below the recessed waist. On the base, the "Yiding (易定)" mark, a representative stamp of the Northern Song Dynasty, is engraved. Yiding refers to decorative porcelain bestowed upon civil and military officials by the palace. This is the "A White 'Lotus' Vase with Yiding Mark, Ding Ware" made during China's Northern Song Dynasty.
 

Alongside the "Yiding Lotus Flower Vase," 35 rare Chinese cultural heritage pieces, including ink stick, amber, and snuff bottles, will be auctioned together. These items are part of the "8th Chinese Cultural Heritage Online Auction" hosted by Daboseong Gallery, which runs until September 5th. To make the art auction market more accessible, the exhibited pieces can be viewed for free at Daboseong Gallery’s 4th floor in Suwoon Hall, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Prices have been set relatively low to promote the appreciation of ancient art and expand the base of collectors.

This is an opportunity for companies, local governments, public institutions, golf courses, and professionals to acquire valuable Chinese antique art pieces recognized for their historical significance.

Kim Jong-chun, Chairman of Daboseong, commented, “The collection includes exceptionally rare works, some of which are hard to find even in Chinese museums. It's fun to compare and research the different production techniques and uses.”

 
One of the most eye-catching items is a 37.3 cm Painted Pottery Horse from the Han Dynasty. This unique earthenware piece depicts a horse standing on four legs atop a square clay plate. The slightly lowered head, slightly open mouth, round eyes, and raised ears create a distinctive look. The horse’s short, slightly raised tail and well-developed muscles are intricately detailed, capturing both dynamism and beauty. The red color added to the saddle enhances its aesthetic appeal.

A Qingbai Phoenix Flask Ewer with Iron Brown Spots from the Yuan Dynasty is also up for auction. The spout, shaped like a phoenix's head, and the handle, shaped like a curled phoenix tail, are striking. The light blue-white glaze is adorned with iron powder to create dark red spots. The flat, wide abdomen resembles a full moon. Ewers with phoenix-shaped spouts were first made during the Tang Dynasty under the influence of Persian ceramic culture. This fusion of Eastern and Western cultural elements adds to its historical value, according to Chairman Kim Jong-chun.

A Blue and White 'Three Generals' Jar and Cover from the Ming Dynasty will also be seeking a new owner. The dynamic scene of three generals on horseback charging under plum blossoms and willows is vividly captured on the body of the jar. A small lid is contained within the wide-mouthed vessel, and the base bears the mark "Yongle Reign" (永樂年製), indicating it was made during the reign of Emperor Yongle (1403-1424) of the Ming Dynasty.
 

A treasure-level porcelain piece from the Yuan Dynasty, the "Blue and White Dragon Turtle-Shaped Bottle with Ruishu Handles," is also up for online bidding. This type of vessel, influenced by the Metal Age of West Asia, is highly valued for its historical significance. The small mouth, short neck, and convex side on one part of the abdomen create the distinctive shape of this bottle, with the opposite side forming the base. On the shoulders are ears shaped like the heads of mythical beasts. The bulging abdomen features lotus flowers painted in blue, with two dramatic white dragons on either side. The designs of auspicious animals (瑞兽纹) and fruits (瑞果纹) are rendered in blue brushstrokes on the sides.

Other pieces, such as a Yuan Dynasty Brown-Glazed 'Crane' Vase from Cizhou Kiln, starting at 1 million won, a Yuan Dynasty Qingbai Phoenix Flask Ewer with Iron Brown Spots, ink slabs with landscape designs, and amber carvings of two pigs with conjoined bodies, are also being auctioned at relatively reasonable prices.

Daboseong Gallery, known for collecting and distributing Korean and Chinese cultural heritage to national and private museums, plans to hold an offline auction of 20-30 rare artifacts at the end of this year.
