청화백자-연적-코담배...희귀한 중국 유물 47점 경매 달군다

다보성갤러리, 18일 온라인 경매 ...가격 저렴해 치열한 응찰 경쟁 예고

중국 원나라 때 제작된 청화백자와  특유의 도자기 매병, 청나라 시대 잉어모형의 연적, 동물 형태의 희귀한 호박 조각, 코담배로 불리는 비연호(鼻煙壺), 먹 조형물 등 다양한 중국 문화유산 47점이 경매에 오른다. 다보성갤러리가 오는 18일 까지 진행되는 제5회 중국 문화유산 온라인 경매를 통해서다.
 중국에서는 최근 고미술품 수요가 늘어나고 있는 데다 큰손 컬렉터들이 지속적으로 고서화와 도자기를 구입하고 있는 추세여서 국내에서 유통되는 중국 유뮬을 비교적 저렴한 가격에 응찰 할 수 있는 기회다.

김종춘 다보성갤러리 회장은 “국내에서는 중국 문화유산을 크게 접할 수 있는 기회가 그리 많지 않다”면서 “이번 경매에서는 시작가를 저렴하게 설정했기 때문에 많은 애호가들의 응찰 경쟁이 예상된다”고 전망했다.

다보성갤러리는 전략 상품으로  명나라 시대 희귀한 도자기 ’홍녹채연지원앙문편병‘를 비롯해  원나라 문화재 ‘청화서상기문관’과 ’청백유자소 동남동녀좌상‘, 명나라 유뮬 상사명 연전지문매병’, 청나라 문화유산 '침향목영지형여의'와 수자문비연호(코담배)를 전면에 내세웠다.

가장 눈길을 끄는 작품은 역시 명나라 시대  ’홍녹채연지원앙문편병‘.  어깨에 이룡(螭龍) 양이가 있는 편병 이다. 몸체 가운데  연꽃을 중심으로 원앙, 물풀, 연봉 등이 있는 연못 풍경을  홍녹채 색깔로 가득채운게  진기하다. 추정가는 2억1000만~4억5000만원이다.

원나라 시대 도자기 ‘청화서상기문관’도 경매에 오른다. 잚은 목에 입이 비교적 크게 벌어져 다소 부피감이 느껴지는 백자 청화관이다. 몸체에는 원나라 때 왕실보(王實甫)가 지은 잡극 '서상기(西廂記)'에 들어 있는 당나라 최앵앵과 장생의 사랑이야기가 그려져 있다. 인물들 사이에 우뚝 서있는 버드나무, 파초, 괴석 등이 이채롭다.

명나라 시대 도자기 ‘상사명 연전지문매병’도 나와 있다. 작은 구연부에 짧은 목, 풍만한 어깨, 흘러내리는 허리의 곡선미가 특징이다. 도자기 가슴 부위에 푸른색 글자 ‘상사(賞賜)’ 가 적혀있어 명나라를 건국한 주원장이 1368년 전후 공로가 큰 신하에게 상으로 하사한 도자기임을 짐작하게 한다.

청나라 건륭제 때 제작된 도자기 ‘분채백자문호로형병‘도 새 주인을 찾는다. 어깨에 ’백자도‘라고 쓰여지는 호로병 모형의 분채병이다. 100명의 남자 아이를 다채롭게 그려넣어 다산과 다복을 은유했다. 추정가는 500만~1000만원이다.

연꽃 넝쿨이 가득 드려진 소호(추정가 150만~300만원)을 비롯해 잉어형태의 연적(100만~200만원), 사자 얼굴이 새겨진 거문고형 주사먹(200만~500만원), 동물 뿔의 형태를 완벽하게 재현한 서각상(200만~500만원), 어미코끼리 등에 새끼 코끼라가 타고 있는 모형의 비연호, 나무에 매달린 딱정버레 호박조각(50만~150만원) 등도 비교적 합리적인 가격에 경매에 부쳐진다.

출품작들은 경매 당일 18일까지 서울 종로구 경운동 다보성갤러리 4층 전시장에서 무료로 관람할 수 있다.

이와 함께 갤러리 1층과 2층 전시장에도 불상을 비롯한 불화와 사경 등 수천 점의 불교 고미술품이 전시돼 있다.

김민준 다보성갤러리 실장은 "올해 말에 진귀한 중국 유물 20~30점들을 엄선해서 오프라인 경매도 진행할 예정"이라고 말했다.

Dabosung Gallery, online auction on the 18th... fierce bidding competition expected due to low prices

47 pieces of various Chinese cultural heritage items are up for auction, including blue and white porcelain made during the Yuan Dynasty, a unique porcelain meiping vase, a carp shaped water dropper from the Qing Dynasty, rare amber figures carved in the form of animals, snuff bottles (鼻煙壺), and ink sticks. Daboseong Gallery is holding the 5th Chinese Cultural Heritage Online Auction until the 18th. 

In China, the demand for antique art has recently been increasing, and expensive artwork collectors are continuously purchasing antique paintings and ceramics, so this is an opportunity to bid on Chinese art pieces distributed domestically at a relatively low price.

Kim Jong-chun, chairman of Dabosung Gallery, said, “There are not many opportunities to come into contact with Chinese cultural heritage in Korea,” and predicted, “Because the starting price was set low for this auction, it is expected that many enthusiasts will compete to bid.”

Dabosung Gallery brought the following artifacts to the fore as strategic products: a ''famille-verte 'pondscape' moon flask,'' a rare ceramic from the Ming Dynasty; a 'blue and white figural and landscape jar,' a cultural asset from the Yuan Dynasty; a 'bluish white-glazed figure of a young boy and girl,' a relic from the Ming Dynasty; a 'white-glazed lotus and branch vase, Meiping,' and the Qing Dynasty cultural heritage items 'an agarwood reishi-shaped ruyi scepter' and 'a jade longevity character snuff bottle.'
 

The most eye-catching work is of course ‘'A famille-verte 'pondscape' moon flask'' from the Ming Dynasty. It is a moon flask with Chi Dragon handles on both sides of the shoulders. Both sides of the body are filled with a pond landscape featuring mandarine ducks, water plants, and lotus flowers in pink and green glaze. The estimated price is 210 to 450 million won. 
 

Yuan Dynasty porcelain '‘A blue and white 'figural and landscape' jar’' is also up for auction. It is a white porcelain blue-and-white crown with a relatively large mouth on the short neck, giving a somewhat bulky feel. The body depicts the love story of Yingying and Zhangsheng of the Tang Dynasty from the miscellaneous play 'Western Records' written by Wangshifu during the Yuan Dynasty. The willow trees, basil leaves, and strange stones that stand tall among the characters are unique.

There is also Ming Dynasty pottery ‘'A white-glazed 'lotus and branch' vase, Meiping.’’ It is characterized by a small mouth, short neck, voluptuous shoulders, and the curves of a flowing waist. The blue letters '賞賜' are written on the chest of the pottery, which suggests that this pottery was given as a reward by Zhu Yuanzhang, the founder of the Ming Dynasty, to a subject of great merit around 1368.

The pottery '‘A famille-rose 'figural' gourd-shaped vase'’ produced during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty is also looking for a new owner. It is a famille-rose shaped like a gourd bottle with ‘Baizitu’ written on the shoulder. 100 boys were colorfully drawn to symbolize fertility and good fortune. The estimated price is 5 to 10 million won.

Including a blue and white 'lotus and branch' pot (estimated price 1.5 to 3 million won) filled with lotus vines, a carp-shaped water dropper (1 to 2 million won), a cinnarbar ink stick with a lion's face (2 to 5 million won), and a perfectly shaped rhino horn (2 to 5 million won), a snuff botle with a baby elephant riding on the back of a mother elephant, and an amber figure of beetles hanging from a tree (500,000 to 1.5 million won) are also auctioned off at relatively reasonable prices. 

The submitted works can be viewed for free at the exhibition hall on the 4th floor of Daboseong Gallery, Gyeongun-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul until the 18th of the auction day.

In addition, thousands of pieces of ancient Buddhist art, including Buddhist statues, Buddhist paintings, and sutras, are on display in the exhibition halls on the first and second floors of the gallery.

Kim Min-jun, director of Dabosung Gallery, said, “We plan to conduct an offline auction of 20 to 30 carefully selected rare Chinese relics later this year.”
