이 분청자화류문매병은 조선 전기에 제작된 것으로 고려 상감청자의 기법을 계승하면서, 조선 초기 도자의 형식과 조형 감각이 새롭게 전개되는 과도기적 특징이 드러나는 유물입니다.
외반한 구연부와 짧은 목 아래로 어깨가 팽창하고, 동체는 하단으로 갈수록 점차 좁아집니다. 굽에 이르러 다시 외반하는 구조를 이루어 전체적으로 안정적인 비례감과 조형미를 갖추고 있습니다.
회흑색의 태토 위에 백토를 분장한 후, 상감 기법으로 문양을 새기고 유약을 시유하여 소성하는 방법으로 제작되었습니다.
어깨에는 연화문과 도식화된 화문 띠가 장식되어 있고, 동체에는 버드나무와 꽃이 교차 배열된 화류문이 표현되어 있습니다. 화류문은 자연 경관을 도안화한 대표적 문양으로 생명력과 풍요, 길상의 의미를 내포하고 조선 초기 민속적 미의식을 반영한 장식 요소입니다. 절제된 구성 안에서 유려한 선의 흐름과 대담한 표현이 조화를 이루며, 분청사기 특유의 자유롭고 소박한 미감을 드러냅니다.
기존의 매병 형태를 바탕으로 한 구조 위에 균형 잡힌 비례감과 세련된 장식성이 어우러져 조형적 완성도를 높이고 있습니다.

此瓶制造于朝鲜前期，承袭了高丽象嵌青瓷的技法，同时展现出朝鲜初期陶瓷在形式与造型感上的新发展，具有典型的过渡期特征。
瓶口外撇，短颈，肩部丰满，肩以下渐收，至底部外撇，整体比例协调，造型稳重而富有美感。
器物在灰黑色胎体上施以白色化妆土，再以象嵌技法刻画纹样，之后施釉入窑高温烧制而成。
瓶肩部饰有莲花纹与程式化的花纹带，瓶身则以垂柳与花卉交错构成的花柳纹为主。花柳纹是朝鲜前期装饰中代表性的图案，将自然景致图案化，蕴含生命力、富饶与吉祥之意，也体现出民间审美情趣。在克制而有节奏的构图中，流畅的线条与大胆的表现和谐共存，展现出粉青沙器特有的自由朴素之美。
此瓶在传统梅瓶结构之上，融合匀称比例与洗练装饰，彰显出极高的造型完成度。

This maebyeong from early Joseon reveals transitional characteristics in its structure and aesthetics, inheriting the inlay techniques of Goryeo celadon while developing new Joseon styles.
The mouth flares outward, with a short neck leading to full shoulders. The body tapers gradually toward the base, then flares again at the foot, creating a sense of proportional stability and elegance.
White slip was applied over grayish-black clay, and decorative patterns were carved using the inlay technique before glazing and firing.
The shoulder features a band of lotus petals and stylized floral motifs, while the main body displays alternating patterns of willows and flowers (hwa-ryu-mun, or flower-and-willow motif). This motif, representing stylized natural scenery, conveys ideas of vitality, abundance, and good fortune. It reflects folk aesthetic sensibilities of early Joseon.
The controlled composition, dynamic lines, and bold execution reflect the free-spirited and unpretentious beauty unique to buncheong ware.
Built on the traditional maebyeong form, this piece enhances its sculptural integrity through well-balanced proportions and refined ornamentation.
