박천 반닫이는 추운 북부 지역의 환경에 맞춰 크고 튼튼하며, 용도에 중점을 둔 전통 목가구입니다.
결이 적어 뒤틀림이 적은 피나무나 호두나무를 주로 사용하였습니다. 또한 세로로 길어 벽면에 밀착시키면 방한 효과가 있었습니다.
목재에 어두운색 칠을 더해 목질을 감추었으며, 검정 금속 장석을 좌우로 간결하게 배치하였습니다. 중앙에는 호리병형 경첩과 ‘ㄷ’자형 배꼽 자물쇠가 달려 있습니다. 과도한 장식은 피하고 용도에 중점을 둔 북부 지역 가구의 특징을 보여줍니다.

博川半开箱是为适应朝鲜北部寒冷地区环境而制作的传统木家具，体型高大坚固，强调实用功能。
主要选用椴木或胡桃木等纹理较细、变形率低的木材制成。同时，其纵向修长的造型在靠墙摆放时具有一定的保温效果。
箱体表面涂以深色漆料，以掩盖木质纹理。左右对称地配置黑色金属饰件，中央安装葫芦形铰链与“ㄷ”字形肚脐锁。该家具避免使用过多装饰，重在功能性设计，充分展现了北部地区家具特色。

The Bakcheon chest is a traditional piece of wooden furniture, large and sturdy, tailored to the cold northern climate, with an emphasis on functionality.
It was primarily made of linden or walnut wood, which have minimal grain and thus are less prone to warping. Its tall, vertical form allowed it to be placed flush against the wall, providing insulation.
The wood surface is coated with dark-colored lacquer to conceal the grain, and black metal fittings are arranged simply on either side. A gourd-shaped hinge and a "ㄷ"-shaped central lock are affixed to the middle. The design avoids excessive ornamentation and highlights the practical and utilitarian character of northern region furniture.
