광복 80주년을 맞아 우리 근현대사의 중요한 순간을 기록한 유물들이 공개됩니다.
구한말부터 일제강점기, 독립운동기에 이르기까지 민족의 역사와 혼이 서린 귀한 유물을 조명합니다.

'조국광복'
백범 김구 선생이 서거하던 해 설날에 남긴 글씨에는 광복을 맞은 조국 대한 격한 감정이 녹아있습니다.
명성황후가 시해된 뒤 일제에 의해 폐출 되고 평민의 모습으로 제작됐을 것으로 여겨지는 작품.
다보성갤러리 측은 "시해에 가담한 미우라 고로의 서예 작품과 함께 전해왔다"며 "족자 뒷면에 쓰인 글씨 중 '부인초상' 앞의 훼손된 두 글자가 적외선 촬영 결과 명성황후의 성씨인 '민씨'였던 것으로 드러났다"고 설명했습니다.
또, 흥선대원군의 석란도, 조선총독부 총독 데라우치 마사다케의 인장 등 대한제국과 일제 강점기 혼란의 역사를 볼 수 있는 희귀 유물이 공개됐습니다.

- "일본 총독 도장과 명성황후를 시해했던 일본 사람, 치욕스럽고 암울했던 그 과거를 재조명할 기회가 될 수 있어 전시를 준비했습니다. 꿈나무들이 과거를 되돌아보고."
한국 고미술 걸작 중 조선시대 후기에 제작된 백자달항아리도 만날 수 있습니다.
색감과 형태가 보름달을 품은 듯하며 보통의 달 항아리보다 10cm 이상 큰 52cm로 풍만하게 벌어진 둥근 선은 당당하면서도 완전한 균형을 드러냅니다.
조선 전기에 제작된 '백자청화해문반'은 넓고 얕은 접시에 과거급제와 권세를 상징하는 게 일곱 마리가 정밀하게 묘사돼 조선 청화백자의 아름다움을 잘 보여줍니다.
광복 80주년, 시간을 잇고 기억을 지키는 귀한 유물 전시를 통해 민족의 고난과 광복의 감격을 되새깁니다.

值此光复80周年之际，将对外公开记录韩国近现代史重要瞬间的文物。
从朝鲜帝国到日本殖民时期，再到独立运动时期，本次展览聚焦承载民族历史与精神的珍贵文物。
以下是记者李相柱的报道。

“祖国光复”
这幅书法是白凡金九先生逝世那一年的新年所写，蕴含着祖国迎来光复的激动情感。
这幅作品据说是明成皇后遇害后，被日本废黜并以平民形象制作的肖像。
多宝星古美术馆方面表示：“它与参与刺杀的三浦梧楼的书法作品一同流传下来。”并解释说，通过红外线拍摄发现，卷轴背面“夫人肖像”前被损毁的两个字原来是明成皇后的姓氏“闵氏”。
此外，还展出了兴宣大院君的《石兰图》、朝鲜总督寺内正毅的印章等，通过这些文物可窥见大韩帝国与日本殖民时期动荡历史。

“日本总督的印章以及刺杀明成皇后的日本人等，这些都是耻辱而黑暗的过去。本次展览是重新审视历史的机会，让年轻一代回顾过去。”
朝鲜后期制作的古美术杰作白瓷月亮罐也将亮相。
其色泽与造型宛如怀抱满月，比普通月亮罐大10厘米以上，高达52厘米。饱满展开的圆润曲线，端庄而自信，同时呈现均衡之美。
朝鲜前期制作的“白瓷青花海纹盘”同样值得一看。在浅而宽的盘面上，细腻描绘了象征科举及权势的七条海鱼，充分展现了朝鲜青花白瓷的美感。
值此光复80周年，通过连接时间与守护记忆的珍贵文物展览，人们得以重温民族的苦难与光复的喜悦。

Portrait Presumed to Be Empress Myeongseong… Special Exhibition for the 80th Anniversary of Liberation
[Anchor’s Remarks]
In celebration of the 80th anniversary of Korea’s liberation, artifacts recording pivotal moments in Korea’s modern and contemporary history are being unveiled.
The exhibition sheds light on precious relics imbued with the nation’s history and spirit, spanning from the late Joseon Dynasty through the Japanese colonial period and the independence movement.
Reporter Lee Sang-joo has the story.

"Liberation of the Fatherland"
These calligraphic words, written by independence leader Kim Gu on New Year’s Day in the year of his death, embody the deep emotions he felt toward a liberated Korea.
One artwork is believed to depict Empress Myeongseong, produced after her assassination, portraying her in the attire of a commoner following her posthumous demotion by the Japanese.
According to the Daboseong Gallery, “It was handed down along with a calligraphic work by Miura Gorō, who took part in the assassination,” adding, “Infrared photography of two damaged characters before the words ‘Portrait of a Lady’ on the back of the scroll revealed them to be ‘Min,’ the Empress’s family name.”
Also on display are rare artifacts that reveal the turbulent history of the Korean Empire and the Japanese colonial era, including Heungseon Daewongun’s Seokran-do (Orchid and Rock Painting) and the official seal of Japanese Governor-General Terauchi Masatake.

“This exhibition is an opportunity to reexamine the disgraceful and dark past — the seal of the Japanese governor-general and the Japanese man who assassinated Empress Myeongseong. We prepared it so that young people can reflect on history.”
Visitors can also see masterpieces of Korean antiques, such as a late Joseon white porcelain moon jar, whose color and shape evoke a full moon. Measuring over 10 cm taller than typical moon jars at 52 cm, its generously rounded silhouette conveys both grandeur and perfect balance.
A white porcelain blue-and-white plate with sea creatures from the early Joseon period features seven delicately painted crabs — symbols of success in the civil service exam and authority — showcasing the beauty of Joseon blue-and-white porcelain.
Marking the 80th anniversary of Liberation, this exhibition of precious artifacts that bridge time and preserve memory invites us to reflect on the hardships of the nation and the joy of liberation.
