신체에 비해 크게 형상화된 머리는 위엄과 신성성을 강조하고, 둥글고 온화한 얼굴, 반개안(半開眼)의 시선, 잔잔한 미소는 자비희사(慈悲喜捨)의 이상적 내면을 시각화합니다.
통견식(通肩式) 착의에 대칭적 의문(衣紋)은 간결하면서도 안정감을 주고, 손과 발이 각각 정밀하게 표현되어 조형적 완성도를 높입니다. 손은 시무외인(施無畏印)과 여원인(與願印)을 취하여 중생의 고통을 덜고 소망을 성취하게 하려는 의미를 담고 있습니다. 불룩한 복부 표현은 신라 불상에서 점차 형식화되어 가는 이상화된 신체관을 반영합니다.

This gilt-bronze Buddha statue is a refined example of the idealized aesthetic of Three Kingdoms period Buddhist sculpture. Within its simple form, it embodies a serene expression, balanced proportions, and meticulously rendered details.
The head, proportionally larger than the body, emphasizes dignity and divinity. The round, gentle face, half-closed eyes, and soft smile visually represent the Buddhist ideals of compassion, joy, and equanimity.
The robe, draped in the tonggyeon-sik (通肩式) style over both shoulders, features symmetrical folds that are simple yet give a sense of stability. The hands and feet are carefully crafted, enhancing the statue's sculptural completeness. The right hand is raised in the abhaya mudra (施無畏印) to dispel fear, and the left hand is lowered in the varada mudra (與願印) to grant wishes—symbolizing the alleviation of suffering and the fulfillment of aspirations. The slightly protruding abdomen reflects an idealized bodily form that became increasingly stylized in Silla-period Buddhist sculptures, symbolizing abundance and life force.
The inverted lotus pedestal symbolizes enlightenment and purity, like a lotus blooming from worldly suffering.
