따뜻한 남해안의 기후와 낮은 층고의 주거 환경을 반영하여, 낮고 넓은 형태로 제작된 장흥 반닫이입니다. 이 유물은 간결하고 절제된 형태가 특징입니다.
앞면 중앙에는 길상을 상징하는 ‘卍(만)’자 문양이 새겨진 철제 잠금장치가 달려 있습니다. 그 아래로는 좌우로 둥글게 퍼진 장흥 경첩 세 개가 있습니다. 양옆에는 고리형 손잡이가 달려 있어 실제 사용에 편리함을 더했으며, 모서리는 부드럽게 마감되어 장인의 섬세함이 드러납니다.

此长兴半开式箱柜呈低矮宽阔之形，反映出南海岸温暖气候与低层高住宅环境的特点，整体造型简洁素雅。
柜面中央装有刻有“卍”字纹的铁质锁具，象征福运吉祥。下方配有三枚向左右自然延展的长兴式铰链。柜体两侧设有环状提手，提升使用便利性；四角则经圆润处理，细节之中体现出工匠精湛而细腻的手艺。

This bandaji from Jangheung was crafted in a low and wide form, reflecting the warm climate and low-ceilinged housing environment of Korea’s southern coastal region. The piece is characterized by its simple and restrained design.
At the center of the front panel is an iron lock engraved with the “卍 (swastika)” symbol, representing good fortune. Below it are three gently curved Jangheung-style hinges extending outward. On each side are ring-shaped handles for practical use, and the corners are smoothly finished, showcasing the artisan’s attention to detail.
