경기도 반닫이는 조선시대 궁중과 사대부가에서 사용한 고급 목가구로, 전면 절반을 여닫는 형태입니다. 내부는 한 단의 선반이 있고 그 아래에 서랍이 달려 있는 문갑형 구조입니다. 다리는 각재가 몸통에 부착된 족대형입니다. 천판과 측널, 측널과 밑널은 주먹장사개짜임으로 결속하여 구조를 견고히 하였습니다.
전면에는 다양한 장석이 부착되어 있습니다. 황동 장석과 붉은빛이 감도는 갈색 목재가 대비를 이룹니다. 앞바탕과 경첩은 부채꼴 모양이며, '卍(만)'자와 여의두문이 투각되어 있습니다. 앞바탕 중앙에는 세로 방향의 홈 사이에 걸쇠를 걸어 문판을 고정하는 잠금장치가 있습니다. 문판에는 팔괘문이 투각된 들쇠가 있으며, 양측널에는 반달형 들쇠가 달려 있습니다. 접합부분과 모서리는 감잡이와 귀장석으로 보강하였으며, 앞판의 가장자리를 따라 광두정이 배치되었습니다. 앞널 중앙에는 원형의 배꼽장식에 '壽(수)'자와 당초문이 시문되어 있습니다.

京畿道半柜是朝鲜时期宫廷与士大夫家中使用的高级木家具，其特点为前面上半部可开启的结构。内部设有一层隔板，其下安装抽屉，属于文甲式结构。柜腿为方材直接附着于柜体的足台式结构。顶板与侧板、侧板与底板之间采用榫卯中的“主榫嵌接”连接，使整体结构更加坚固。
正面装饰有多种金属饰件，黄铜饰件与带有红褐色光泽的木材形成鲜明对比。前挡板和铰链呈扇形，其上镂空雕饰有“卍”字纹和如意头纹。前挡板中央设有纵向凹槽，并配有可挂锁扣以固定门板的锁闭装置。门板上安装有镂空八卦纹的提手，两侧板则装有半月形提手。接合部位和边角以抓角件和角饰件加固，前板边缘沿线排列有圆头钉饰。前板中央装饰有圆形脐状饰件，其上饰有“壽”字及缠枝纹。

A half-opening chest from Gyeonggi Province is a high-quality wooden furniture type used in royal courts and aristocratic households during the Joseon dynasty. It is characterized by a front panel that opens across its upper half. The interior follows a cabinet-style configuration, featuring a single shelf with a drawer beneath. The legs are of the jokdae type, in which squared wooden members are attached to the body. The top, side, and bottom panels are firmly joined using interlocking dovetail joints, ensuring structural stability.
The front is richly adorned with a variety of metal fittings. Brass mounts contrast elegantly with the reddish-brown wood. The front plates and hinges are fan-shaped and pierced with 'manja' (卍) and 'yeouidu' motifs. At the center of the front plate is a locking device in which a latch secures the door panel between vertically carved grooves. The door panel is fitted with a handle plate pierced with an 'Eight Trigrams' motif, while crescent-shaped side handles are attached to both side panels. The joints and corners are reinforced with protective metal mounts, and dome-headed nails line the edges of the front panel. At the center of the front panel is a circular medallion ornament decorated with the character 'su' (壽) and 'scrolling vine' motifs.
